Assemble Your Kit

  1. Choose Your Sound

We recommend beginning with the green (neutral) acoustic filters and the standard ear tips. Achieving a good fit with this basic configuration will allow you to test proper sealing and insertion depth. Sometimes this alone can significantly improve the performance of an IEM. Once you’ve tried the green filter, experiment with the red and black filters for stronger bass presence, or the treble tips for louder, more detailed highs.

  2. Install Your Filters

  • Push the adapter tubes onto the bottom of the acoustic filters. The woven metal grille should face opposite the tube.

  • Gently push and twist to stretch the adapter tube over the nozzle of your IEM. Be careful not to push too hard to avoid damaging the nozzle of your IEM. Push and twist until the adapter tube is fully seated on your IEM nozzle, or until the acoustic filter bottoms out.

  • Gently push and twist your ear tip onto the exposed end of the acoustic filter.

  • Store your IEMs in a case or in the included carrying pouch so you never lose your filters or tips.

3. Find the Perfect Fit

Sealing and insertion depth have a huge effect on the sound signature of an IEM. Powerful, accurate bass can only be transmitted with tight seal between the ear tip and ear canal.

The added length to the nozzle of your IEM that the acoustic filter adds can help with comfort and fit. Gently push and twist to insert your IEMs into your ears. Ambient noises should sound very muted if your ear tips are inserted correctly. You should feel a slight pressure keeping your IEMs in place if you gently tug on them.

If you don’t get a great fit with the first pair of ear tips, try other sizes. If you’re still having trouble fitting your ear tips, try a small amount of the included baby oil. Hold the bottle securely in one hand and wiggle and pull to remove the cap/applicator. Run the applicator around the perimeter of the ear tip before inserting into your ear.

Seating the ear tip deeper in the ear canal boosts bass frequencies and flattens resonant peaks in the treble range. In general, we recommend deeper insertion for a flat response, and shallower insertion for a "V-shaped” (recessed mid frequencies) sound. A smaller ear tip will increase insertion depth. Experiment with different ear tip sizes to adjust depth, and your IEM’s sound.
