Why not software EQ?

There are a few reasons to use the Acuit IEM Tuning Kit over software equalization:

  • If your IEM has weak bass response, this is often due to a poor seal. It is very difficult to overcome this with software EQ alone, and the result is often muddy, boomy sound. Extending your IEM’s nozzle with an acoustic filter can preserve its sound signature while delivering a full bass response due to a better fit.

  • The EQ follows your IEM, not your device. This means you don’t have to change your EQ settings every time you switch to headphones, speakers, or A/V devices

  • Passive acoustic filters always deliver a natural overall sound

  • Your IEMs will still sound great when hooked up to analog devices that don’t have built in EQ
